Tame Impala (Kevin Parker) has just announced the Spring 2026 Tour, which will showcase their new album, Deadbeat, in Portugal with an unforgettable show at MEO Arena on April 5th.
On this new album, Deadbeat, Kevin Parker crafts a collection of intensely potent club-psych explorations, serving as a vehicle for some of the most direct and captivating compositions of his career.
To date, Tame Impala has already unveiled the single "Loser"—accompanied by a music video directed by Kristofski and starring Joe Keery—and "End of Summer," a seven-minute epic that harks back to the acid house summer of 1989, the free-for-alls of the '90s, and the bush doofs in the Australian outback—a story imagined, transformed into something simultaneously present and timeless, still unmistakably Tame Impala.
Deadbeat draws heavily from bush doof culture and the Western Australian rave scene, reinventing Tame Impala as a “future-primitive” rave project. Conceived in various locations over the past few years, the album was primarily galvanized between Parker’s hometown of Fremantle and his Wave House studio in Injidup, Western Australia, in the first half of 2025. Deadbeat sounds like the work of an artist of high mastery, built with a new embrace of spontaneity. This shift manifests in a distinct, rawly textured minimalism, timbres that add a new dimension to the sound, and a vocal range richer and more playful than ever.
Kevin Parker has established himself as one of the most influential voices of the last decade. A singular artist known for creating a distinctive and transcendent sound, Parker builds genre-defying soundscapes, playing every instrument and taking on the roles of composer, producer, mixer, and engineer for his projects. He has been nominated for four GRAMMY Awards, winning one for his collaboration with Justice on "Neverender" (2024). In Australia, he has won 13 ARIA Awards and 27 nominations, as well as a BRIT Award for Best International Act and nominations for two Billboard Music Awards and an American Music Award.
Tame Impala has had several songs in the Top 10 at US Alternative Radio, including two #1s ("Lost In Yesterday" and "Is It True"). "The Less I Know The Better" is a member of the "Billionaires Club" with over 2 billion streams, and the project has accumulated multiple gold and platinum certifications globally.
