A night of melodic metal and contemporary heaviness at Sala Tejo, with AMON MARTH, ORBIT CULTURE and SOILWORK.
The AMON AMARTH saga returns to Europe in 2026, and Lisbon is on the itinerary. Portugal is preparing to welcome the legendary Swedish Vikings, who return to our country next year as part of the monumental The Allfather Awakens: Europe & UK tour. On 15 November 2026, the Sala Tejo at the MEO Arena will welcome the group led by Johan Hegg, on a date that marks the long-awaited return of one of the most influential names in modern melodic death metal.
As if that weren't enough, this celebration becomes even more remarkable by bringing together three names that define, each in their own way, different chapters in the evolution of Scandinavian heavy metal over the last few decades, with hosts AMON AMARTH accompanied by emerging band ORBIT CULTURE and veterans SOILWORK on The Allfather Awakens: Europe & UK tour.
Famous for the colossal way they bring their Viking imagery to the stage, Sweden's AMON AMARTH have been consolidating their reputation as protagonists of a ‘total show’, where visual production, instrumental precision and the enormous, impactful presence of vocalist Johan Hegg converge to create sensory and auditory experiences of great intensity. The 2026 tour promises to raise the bar even higher, supported by a set list that will span the band's essential albums and reaffirm their central role in defining contemporary melodic death metal.
For this European journey, which marks the group's return to the stage as headliners on the Old Continent, after a summer in which they shared the stage with Slayer in Cardiff and London and made a foray into the United States alongside Pantera, AMON AMARTH promise a totally revamped, reinforced stage production, designed above all to amplify the theatrical dimension that has become the hallmark of their performances, bringing to Portugal a show specially conceived and designed for this tour.
The Allfather Awakens: Europe & UK kicks off on 9 October in Manchester and tours the UK and Europe for over a month, culminating precisely with the date in Lisbon. It should be noted that, prior to the announcement of this European tour, AMON AMARTH revealed the single ‘We Rule The Waves,’ accompanied by a video clip that reaffirmed the band's vigour. This release followed a prolonged period without new music and served as a preview for the group's next album, which is scheduled for release in late 2026. Described as ‘carved in salt and steel, echoing across the oceans’, the successor to ‘The Great Heathen Army’ promises the same epic scale and sonic intensity that have defined the group over the years.
According to the official statement, The Allfather Awakens: Europe & UK is billed as a ‘Swedish invasion’, reinforced by the presence of ORBIT CULTURE, who continue to impose themselves as one of the most energetic and innovative acts in modern metal, and veterans SOILWORK, whose long career continues to have a profound impact on European melodic death metal. With three bands representing different eras and approaches within the Swedish metal universe, AMON AMARTH's visit to Lisbon is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events on the concert calendar for the second half of 2026.
