Seu Jorge

Seu Jorge was born in 1970 in Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro – Brazil. A musician from head to toe, singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, producer and actor, he defines himself as a popular singer and songwriter; someone who enjoys different music genres, but samba remains his biggest influence : ‘…Samba is our truth, what makes us unique, our golden medal, our pillar, the Brazilian flagship.’

With a brilliant international career, his fan base in Portugal has turned Seu Jorge into one of the most heard and recognised Brazilian artists in this country.

In 2013, his new project, ‘Musicas para Churrasco nº2’, will be released with original songs to be included in the show he is bringing to Portugal, where songs like ‘Burguesinha’, ‘Mariana’, ‘Mina do Condomínio’, ‘Amiga da Minha Mulher’, ‘A Doida’, and ‘Carolina’ will not be forgotten, among many others anthems of Brazilian popular music.
