VOA 2019 HEAVY ROCK FESTIVAL

ANNOUNCEMENT

For security reasons the VOA Heavy Rock Festival is now moving from the Restelo Stadium to Altice Arena.

Due to a security breach detected this morning onto the stage structure assembled in the Restelo Stadium, Prime Artists has decided to move the venue for the VOA- Heavy Rock Festival to Altice Arena, ensuring this way the safety of the public, artists, and the whole entire staff.

All tickets purchased to the Restelo Stadium are in the same way valid to enter Altice Arena. The programme as well as the schedule remain unchanged. On both days, the doors open at 15h00, the concerts start at 16h00 and the show-head takes the stage at 23h00.

2 Day Tickets- Must be exchanged for a wristband at Sala Tejo, at Altice Arena

Day tickets do not allow the entry and exit of the venue.

SLAYER and LAMB OF GOD are the latest confirmations of the 10th Edition of VOA - HEAVY ROCK FESTIVAL. Headliners on July 5th, they join the already announced SPLIKNOT, playing the day before.

The world farewell tour of the iconic SLAYER, which started on May 10th this year, has been successively sold out in the United States and Europe, and finally arrives in Portugal, on July 5th, 2019, for a show at VOA - HEAVY ROCK FESTIVAL. The Californian band, currently formed by Tom Araya on bass and vocals, Kerry King and Gary Holt on guitars and Paul Bostaph on drums, chose the tenth edition of VOA - HEAVY ROCK FESTIVAL to bid farewell to Portuguese fans. LAMB OF GOD play on the same day the, returning 10 years after their debut in Portugal.

On January 22nd this year, SLAYER fans were surprised by the news that one of the biggest and most important metal bands ever wanted to end their brilliant career. For both the public and thousands of other musicians, SLAYER are (and always will be) one of the most emblematic names of the thrash movement. With a place already guaranteed at the Big Four pantheon of the genre, SLAYER have decided to embark on a farewell tour when they are still at the top of their form. It is therefore natural that no one wants to miss this opportunity to bid farewell to one of the most revered bands of metal and celebrate, for the last time live, the enormous power of classics such as "War Ensemble", "Raining Blood" or "Angel of Death”.

LAMB OF GOD, band led by the iconic Randy Blythe, finally return to our country. Formed in Richmond, the quintet released the debut album "New American Gospel" in 2000 and asserted themselves as one of the names to watch out in the sonic revolution that American underground was going through at the time. Over the last two decades LAMB OF GOD established themselves as one of the most successful names of their generation, counting today with seven studio albums and more than two million albums sold in the United States alone.
