Ghost have just announced their biggest world tour so far with a stop at MEO Arena, in Lisbon, on April 29, 2025.
With almost 10 billion accumulated streams, the Swedish GRAMMY®-award-winning theatrical rock band keeps taking the euphoria of their live shows to a bigger a bigger audience, more recently with the triumphant Re-Imperatour 2023, which stopped in over 10 dozens of North-American cities before their two-night grand finale at Kia Forum in Los Angeles. In March 2022 Los Angeles Times reported in a Calendar cover story that GHOST had “conquered metal and the charts” when their fifth album, Impera, debuted at No. 1 on several U.S. album charts, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and first place in Sweden, Germany and Finland, as well as reaching the top 5 in more than half a dozen countries.
Highlights include “Spillways” – praised as a “sweet rock song” by The New York Times and later reinvented with Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott – and the GRAMMY® nominee for Best Metal Performance, “Call Me Little Sunshine.” IMPERA led Rolling Stone to comment: “Ghost predicted the pandemic; now the metal band is predicting the fall of empires.” The album presents current and contextual themes like never before, with a dark and colorful melodic background, making IMPERA a unique experience - and yet unmistakably and quintessentially Ghost.
At the end of 2022, the band debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time with “Mary on a Cross,” certified platinum by the RIAA, in addition to IMPERA winning Favorite Rock Album at the American Music Awards and Best Rock Album of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Ghost also released Phantomime, a five-track cover EP, including a cover of Iron Maiden's “Phantom of the Opera,” which earned the band their fifth GRAMMYs® nomination.
More recently, GHOST's seemingly limitless ambition has taken the band to the big screen, with the film Rite Here Rite Now premiering in June 2024. The film prompted the Los Angeles Time to praise: "In terms of live performances, they're one of the best in the industry - and now they have the film to prove it.” Rite Here Rite Now quickly became the highest-grossing hard rock movie event in North American history and spawned a chart-topping soundtrack.
From devoted disciples to uninitiated onlookers, the Swedish band's live ritual experience has led audiences across the world to turn off their cellphones and live in the moment - completely mesmerized and enchanted by Ghost.
