"Hardwired… To Self-Destruct" was released on 18th November 2016 under Blackened Recordings from Metallica, and went went straight to Number 1 in sales charts around the world, with more than 800,000 copies sold the week it was released. The album was produced by Greg Fieldman with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich and is available in various formats at www.metallica.com.

In Portugal, the album also went straight to Number 1 in the sales charts and received a Gold Award.
